1 •    I am an ex-safety officer, my uncle, brother and nephew were all fire fighters and as one of
        Elk Grove's first CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) members, I fully
        support the Fire Fighters and know how important they are to the entire community.

2 •    The parks should be for everyone (disabled, children, teenagers, adults and senior citizens).         Some parks need amenities added to reach that level; I will work toward adding those         amenities when it is economically feasible.

3 •    I believe that someday the City of Elk Grove and the Cosumnes CSD will merge, but it         must be done when both parties have developed a strategic plan so they can work in
        unison for the good of all the people of Elk Grove and the district.

4 •    We all know that serious economic times are upon us. I believe we must be prudent in
        our spending and use our resources wisely for the well-being of "we the people" and
        the CCSD.

I am a retired State employee who moved from Sacramento to Elk Grove in 1990.  I, along with associates and friends, continually work together to help improve our community.  I serve on Elk Grove (EG) Adult Community Training, the EG Community Foundation, Cosumnes River College (CRC) Foundation, CRC Patrons Club, Friends of the EG Library, Soroptimist International and the Florin Resource Conservation District.

I am running for the Cosumnes Community Services District (CSD) to:

    1 •  Provide quality amenities and services to all citizens of Elk Grove and Galt: young, senior,
          able-bodied and challenged,

    2 •. Practice smart efficient fiscal management while improving services, and

    3 • Work closely with sports teams and community groups who use our parks.

My vision for CCSD is to provide the very best Fire Department and Safety services for Elk Grove and Galt along with parks, recreational opportunities, and community services to meet all Elk Grove's needs. I will help bring new, fresh ideas so that CCSD can rise to new levels and stay financially sound.  I am committed to making our CCSD the very best it can be.
